9.17.15 Zadar Croatia

It's tough staying caught up with blogging with intermittent and slow wifi. Uploading pictures takes forever. The thing I miss most is not having information at my finger tips. Although there are personnel (cruise director) and daily bulletins giving some facts about a place it's usually not what am interested in and certainly not in depth. I guess that's what guide books are for.

In the morning we watched a film by Dan Karslake called "For the Bible Tells Me So". It's a documentary involving 5 devotedly religious parents who have either a son or daughter who is gay and how their lives are transformed - focusing on the parents. He also did a film called "Every 3 Seconds" that's about ending world hunger. He is on the cruise with us and became one of our best friends. You can imagine the conversations that occurred. Very stimulating.

We took the shuttle boat to shore to walk around the old city and find a cafe to have a drink and see what we could learn. Like I've mentioned it's really more about enjoying the patterns of architecture, people watching, and reading and writing about our journey.

Women selling their handiwork in the market. I must comment on how clean everything is and how people love to show their handiwork but not pester you.
