We took the 9:30 high speed train from Roma to Venezia. Our hotel is close to the train station so in contra distinction to the first place we stayed which was quiet and off the beaten track. Romantic with its small restaurants and the sounds of barking dogs echoing in the very narrow alleys and church bells ringing almost constantly throughout the day. The muffled purr of boat engines going up and down the canal in front of our apartment. Very relaxing.
We had an early dinner, went to bed and continued to watch the series Game of Thrones which is filmed in part on the Croatian coast our next destination.
